The Gynaecology and Fertility Centre provides sophisticated and state of the art technologies with expertise in all aspects of gynaecology.
The entire spectrum of possible gynecological problems is accounted for with particular emphasis on surgery, ranging from endoscopic procedures (laparoscopy, hysteroscopy) to open surgery (laparotomy) and transvaginal procedures (vaginal hysterectomy).
The certified qualifications of the Head of the Centre, Dr. Elias Tsakos, trained in the United Kingdom, combined with his extensive experience (exceeding 250 procedures annually), regular further training overseas and state of the art facilities place our team at the top of the range both in Greece and abroad.
The Centre collaborates with St. Luke's Hospital since 1999 with Dr Elias Tsakos being Head of the Obstetrics & Gynaecology Department as of 2000.
St. Luke's is a general hospital covering the majority of medical and surgical specialties and is equipped with an Intensive Care Unit.
The Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department is staffed with experienced personnel including midwives, anesthesiologists specializing in obstetrical anesthesia and 24 hour on-call paediatricians.
The operating theaters are staffed by select personnel and equipped with the best modern medical technology has to offer.
